TAMISH likes to describe herself as a communicator. She uses her VOICE to communicate via song, writing (songwriting), and speech, to inspire, educate, and empower all of humanity (especially women, people of color, girls, and fellow millennials).
A native of Chicago, Illinois, TAMISH has been ministering and sharing her gifts her entire life in all areas of the arts, from singing, to dance and choreographing, performance poetry, acting, and choir directing. From a young age, it was evident that her artistic talents contained something very special, as it wasn't simply "performing", but through her ministry and performances, God was able to touch and reach people in a powerful way. With a lot of prayer and soul searching, TAMISH came to learn that sharing her God-given gifts wasn't simply a hobby, but it was truly NEEDED on this earth.
After graduating from Syracuse University and tackling the fast-paced world of Advertising in NYC for five years, TAMISH took the ultimate leap and decided to pursue her purpose full-time, inside and outside of the four walls of the church. She likes to call it "Jesus ministry", as He did the same.
In a few short years and with a lot of dedication, TAMISH has had the pleasure of sharing her original music on Good Day Chicago (FOX Morning News), opening up for 11x Grammy award-winning artist, songwriter, and producer, Babyface, 6x Grammy-nominated artist, Kelly Price, and Hip Hop pioneers, Slick Rick and MC Lyte, providing backing vocals for Mariah Carey and Slick Rick, performing at various festivals and events across the US, touring Europe as a lead vocalist/worship leader, among several other God-sent opportunities.
TAMISH is earnestly and enthusiastically, living her purpose in order to reach and change THE WORLD for the better, all the while inspiring others to do the same.
You can find her every Sunday, at our amazing church, FCBC, where she happily serves as the Worship Visionary (Praise and Worship Director), worshipping and encouraging all to praise and worship God, who is truly worthy of it, every day of our lives.
